And then there was … less. Tuesday episode of America has talent He brought the judges together (in person!) to crush a few more dreams and reveal which acts will proceed to the season 15 live episodes.
As is the case with all difficult AGT decisions, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara faced each other from the jump, with several judges presenting valid arguments such as “You don’t know what it is to swallow a sword” and “Nein! Nein! Nein! It was a total chaos.
However, after much deliberation, the Quartet of Fate began to let the acts move to the next round. Some of those lucky people included fierce singer Celina Graveshigh energy percussionist Malik Dope Drummer, Dance group Dance Town Family, Country singer Kameron Rossteenage singer Kelvin Dukesukulelist Feng E, soccer player turned singer Thomas dayflexible dancer Noah Eppssong and dance Double Dragonacrobat Alan Silvasword swallower Brett Loudermilkcomedians Alex Hooper and Usama Siddiqueemusician novelty BONAVEGAfarm equipment Revue Pork Chopimpressionistic Vincent Marcusand singer wrongly imprisoned Archie williams.
Unfortunately, this meant that the judges had to say goodbye to several disappointed applicants. Some of the acts that got bad news tonight included dog act Jennifer and Daiquirimusical duo Broken rootsand singer Ashley Marina.
But some calls were too close to make without a second glance, so the judges asked for 10 acts to return to the AGT “Stage” for a follow-up performance: children’s dancers Simon and Maria served some sizzling sauce, Craig reed simply served with a full scale hula hoop number choreographed for Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love” Max major blew up Simon’s mind taking childhood memories out of his brain, Shaquira McGrath delivered a powerful performance of Avicii’s comedian “Wake Me Up” Ty barnett He failed to impress the judges with a routine about his children.
Then the harmonica brothers. The Brothers Gage tried something different with his version of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”, the inspiring singer and songwriter Nolan Neal gave an intimate performance by the fire of “You Have Got the Love”, magician Ryan Tricks enlisted AGT: the champions Judge Alesha Dixon for another mind-blowing trick, dance duo The ninja twins transported us to Candyland with a playful interpretation of “Yummy” and reckless Justin Bieber Jonathan Goodwin I almost carried an arrow – actually, make several arrows – towards the chest.
Of those 10 acts, the following five were sent: Simon and Maria, Jonathan Goodwin, Shaquira McGrath, Max Major, and Nolan Neal. That means Craig Reed, The Brothers Gage, Ty Barnett, Ryan Tricks, and The Ninja Twins have reached the end of their respective AGT travels
The acts that survived the Judge Cuts will proceed to the live shows, joining this season’s Golden Buzzer catchers crop: spoken word poet Brandon Leake, singer Cristina Rae, singer Roberta Battaglia, Voices of the choir of our city and dance group WAFFLE Crew.
