Heard told the court that Depp was “very good at manipulating people” and that he would blame his actions on a “self-created third party” he called the “monster,” according to PA Media.
“He was talking about it like it was some other person or personality and not him doing all of these things,” he said.
During earlier testimony earlier this month, Depp denied the allegations, calling them sick and completely untrue.
In a written witness statement filed with the court, PA Media reports that Heard accused Depp of subjecting her to verbal and physical abuse, including “yelling, cursing, threatening, punching, slapping, kicking, beating, and suffocating her.” as well as “extremely controlling and intimidating behavior”.
She went on to say, “When Johnny turns his attention to you, in all its intensity and darkness, it is unlike anything I have ever experienced.
“When I say it was dark, he had a violent and dark way of speaking: the way he talked about our relationship being ‘dead or alive’ and he told me that death was the only way out of the relationship.”
She added: “He could be very intense and dark. He was the opposite pole of the ‘warm glow’.”
NGN attorneys have previously told the superior court judge that his description of Depp is “completely accurate and truthful,” PA Media reported.

Presenting evidence in court earlier this month, Depp described the allegations that he subjected her to “torture and other abuse” as “sick” and “completely false,” PA Media reported, claiming that Heard physically abused him.
“The claimant’s position is clear: Ms. Heard’s allegations are complete lies. The claimant was not violent towards Ms. Heard, it was she who was violent towards him,” Depp’s attorney David Sherborne said in a Written summary of the actor’s case, PA The media reported in early July.
Depp denied having abused Heard at the time and, through his representatives, claimed that Heard had fabricated the abuse.
The separated couple resolved their divorce months later, issuing a statement saying that “they have agreed to resolve their divorce process in private.” Heard initially obtained a restraining order against Depp, but then withdrew a request to extend it.
