Amber alert issued after a 15-year-old boy from New York City was kidnapped in a white minivan


Amber alert issued after her 28-year-old brother kidnapped a 15-year-old boy from New York City in a white minivan, and police say the teen is “in imminent danger of serious injury or death.”

  • His older brother reportedly kidnapped 15-year-old Ahsan Ali from 46th Street in Queens on Wednesday morning.
  • Authorities believe Ashan is in “imminent danger” and have asked the public for help
  • Police believe the couple may be traveling to Connecticut

An Amber Alert was issued to New York City residents for the kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy.

New York Police say Ahsan Ali was kidnapped from 46th Avenue in Queens shortly after 4:30 am Wednesday in a white Toyota Sienna minivan.

The teenager is believed to have been kidnapped by his 28-year-old brother, Mohsin Ali, 28.

Ashan was “taken under circumstances that led the police to believe” that he is “in imminent danger of serious harm and / or death,” reports WCBS 880.

Police have not released further details on the nature of the couple’s relationship or the family situation.

Ashan is described to be around five feet six inches tall and weigh around 120 pounds.

Big brother Mohsin is about five feet nine inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has tattoos on both arms. Police say he also has recent cuts to both arms.

New York police suspect they may be traveling to Connecticut.
