Amazon’s video site Twitch, used primarily to stream e-sports, temporarily banned President Donald Trump from its platform on Monday for posting “hate behavior.”

Twitch noted the comments made in two protests that led to its decision. At a campaign rally in 2016, which was recently broadcast on the platform, Trump said that Mexico was sending its bad actors, such as rapists or drug dealers. Twitch also pointed to the recent Trump rally in Tulsa, where he told a fictional story of a ‘tough man’ invading someone’s home.

“Hateful behavior is not allowed on Twitch. In accordance with our policies, President Trump’s channel received a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on the broadcast, and the offensive content was removed,” a Twitch spokesperson told CNBC. .

The Verge first reported the news of the President’s ban.

It is unclear how long Trump’s account will be suspended. The Trump campaign joined the platform last year to broadcast its protests and events. The company said when the Trump channel started that it did not exempt political or newsworthy content by removing content.

The move comes days after Twitch said it would crack down on harassment on its platform following allegations of sexual harassment and abuse.
