Amazon announced Thursday that its big new Fire TV software update is now rolling out in devices. It has a completely redesigned home screen and features like separate user profiles, so the recommendations on what to look for are different for each person in your family.

The software was first announced in September and launched in December with the Fire TV Stick Lite and the third pay generation Fire TV Stick, but now everyone who owns Amazon’s Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen) and 3G-Gen Fire TV , Fire TV Stick 4K will be able to use the new features. Amazon says it is updating smart TVs and second-generation Fire TV sticks later this year.

The new features could help it compete more aggressively against Roku, which still has a 0% share of global connected TV streaming hours with strong growth opportunities, according to an analyst at Dutsch Bank in August.

Up to six people can create different profiles with the new software. So, if you watch a lot of Come Medi shows, Amazon will recommend you other favorite comedies. But if your partner watches a lot of plays, they will find recommendations for more of that kind of stuff. Currently, with a single profile, Amazon only recommends more based on what has been viewed, regardless of who is watching.

Personalization is also extended to the home screen, where you can pin specific apps to the top for quick quick access. Maybe you use Netflix, YouTube TV and Disney +, for example. You can put new small icons for the ones above. Recommendations for the content you see on the Services are displayed below.

There’s also a new “Live” tab that shows you the channel-guide, so if you’re paying for a streaming TV service like Sling or YouTube TV, it’s easy to jump into live TV. Amazon told CNBC in September that it was designed to create a more familiar experience for those moving from cable to streaming.

The update includes ernda integration with Alexa and voice this assistant, so you can say “go to Alexa Go live TV” and it will start the paid live streaming TV service.

Finally, there is a new “Discover” section that makes it easier to find something to look for. It shows movies, on-demand TV shows, live TV, your watch list and more.

You can update your Fire TV by opening Settings and selecting “My Fire TV,” then “About” and “Check for System Updates.”
