Amazon has stepped in to put a clear gap between it and Achelon Fitness, a company that manufactures office devices. Yesterday, the company announced that it was building a strip-down version of its Piloton-Esquay Connect Sport Spin bike, the “Prime Bike.” But, overnight, Amazon released a statement saying Achelon and Prime bikes have nothing to do with them.
“This bike is not an Amazon product or affiliated with Amazon Prime. Achelon has no formal partnership with Amazon. We are working to clarify this in our communication with Achelon, to prevent product sales and to change product branding. “ – Amazon
At the time of publication, the Achelon press release that talked about the Prime Bike and Amazon partnership has been withdrawn. And the bike is marked as no longer available for sale – and Amazon has been given many references to scrubbed clean in retail listings. We haven’t been able to get Echelon’s response yet, and have contacted both Echelon and Amazon for further comment.
