Amazon has confirmed that it will remove merchandise with an offensive meme that makes references to vice presidential candidate sen. Kamala Harris.

“All sellers must follow our sales guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential termination of their account,” Amazon confirmed in a statement to Fox News. “The products in question have been removed.”

Shame over the items began to erupt earlier this week on social media, with users urging each other to petition Amazon to remove the items, and in some cases their Harris to apologize. Others claimed they would no longer protect the site.
