Amazon has Fire TV apps and more to help you stay informed about this election season

With so much happening in the country right now, Amazon is making it easy for you to stay up to date on political news this election season. Between having your own personal assistant (Alexa) to make access to news apps and podcasts a breeze with Fire TV and Echo Dot, here are some ways to stay informed.

Tune in to breaking news and political commentary – Check out Amazon’s free news app on Fire TV devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and compatible Fire Tablets. It is a customizable news experience that allows you to select selected topics and stores to personalize the most news feeds. Just say, “Alexa, play the news” to stream from ABC News Live, CBS News, Bloomberg, Reuters, and more.

Set up routines to include news information – Set up a routine on Echo devices set up for morning coffee and listen to daily newsletters as your favorite political podcast to stay up-to-date on the latest poll results and breaking news. Learn how to set up Routines here.

Enable News Notifications for Your Preferred News Stations – Users can get notifications about top news stories from NPR or Fox News on Echo devices. These notifications are short summaries of important news stories of the day that can connect with longer content if they prefer to learn more. To get started, just say, “Alexa, subscribe to NPR news feeds.”

Listen to your favorite political podcast – You can also listen to political podcasts like NPR’s Left Right & Center or Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie via TuneIn on Echo devices. Just say, “Alexa, play Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie on TuneIn.”
