Amazon deal shortens the best Thunderbolt 3 dock you can buy

Today’s Dealmaster is headlined by a nice price on CalDigit’s TS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 dock, which is currently down to $ 210 at Amazon and B&H. While the street price of the dock has been steadily declining over the past year from its original $ 310, we still see it hovering online in the $ 240- $ 250 range. We saw it drop to $ 200 at B&H in March, but this deal brings it down to its lowest price since and represents the cheapest it has ever had on Amazon.

The TS3 Plus is the top option in our manual for the best Thunderbolt 3 docks. It’s quite expensive, even with this deal, but for power users who want to add value from a desktop or add it through a single port, it’s a good buy. It packs 15 ports into its sleek industrial design, including two high-speed Thunderbolt 3 ports, five USB-A 3.1 ports, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, an SD card reader, analog audio connections, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, and an unusual S / PDIF digital optical audio port. It can run two 4K displays at a 60Hz refresh rate (though with the appropriate adapter) and delivers up to 87W of power to charge high-power laptops like the 16-inch MacBook Pro at near full speed. And while it may not always be the absolute fastest dock we test in terms of data transfer or read / write speeds, it was consistently a top performer.
