New Orleans offense will really miss Kamra, and the Saints have dreamed of a Super Bowl. They start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, and that match is decisive in NFC South.
But the Saints are paying a lot of players and they will probably be wary of most of the history in the back.
Will the saints pay Kamara?
The storyline is well-worn now: a good running back isn’t important, but it can usually be found in a later draft or cheaper in free agency, and it’s common for teams to regret the enormous extension for the back. Kamara looks like an outlayer, but sadly many of the backs on the big extension list looked like their outlaws.
Clearly, the Saints need to have Kamara’s superiority this season, and they have high hopes. If the room is sitting still until a new deal is struck, it puts New Orleans in a difficult position. It is also not ideal for fictional footballers who made room in the first round of recent drafts.
There is not much time for the saints to find out. And surely they want the Buccaneers to settle before the city arrives for the season opener.
