Pittsburgh (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is registering 527 new coronavirus coronavirus cases, the most positive number since the epidemic began.
“The steady increase in new covid cases is not relevant. This past week, I joined the chief medical officers of our region’s health system to talk about the growing concerns, ”said Dr. Said Debra Bozen. “Despite our warning messages, the number of cases is increasing rapidly. While we are better prepared than when we first started seeing cases in March, we should still be proactive in reducing the spread of the virus. “
The 40-year-old cases range from 3-months to 104-year-olds.
The age group of the case by age is as follows:
Of the 527 new cases, 294 women tested positive and 233 men tested positive.
As of November 1, 4,230 cases of COVID-19 and 24 deaths have been reported.
According to the Allegheny County COVID-19 dashboard, 238,930 individuals have been tested and a total of 458 people have died there.
Since the epidemic began, 1,643 people have been hospitalized with 414 in need of intensive care and 154 of them requiring ventilator treatment.
The Allegheny County Department of Health is asking residents to follow these guidelines to help control the spread:

- Keep physical distance and wear a mask as we spend more time indoors;
- Also avoid parties and gatherings between your family and friends.
