It’s been a rough, tearful week before Big Brother‘s Nicole Anthony and David Alexander … and things got a lot rougher for one of them in Thursday’s episode.
After being raped (and strangely, because they are considered the smallest threats in the entire game), directed by Head of Household Memphis, both Nicole and David dropped the Power of Veto win earlier this week – and when POV winner Memphis chose to leave his own nominations in place, he made sure that one of the BB21 alumni would walk out the door on Thursday.
But what was the second evictee of the summer? Read on for the highlights of the hour:
THE STRATEGY | Nicole and David are now left to camp for themselves before the night out … and yet, every time they find an ally, they seem all too happy to send these people away. Support point: When Da’Vonne tells David that she wants to protect him from going home, he tells her to take it a notch, theorizing that future Heads of Household will come to David and Da’Vonne at the same time if they suspect those two are working gear. (“I do not think it was a good idea,” Bayleigh informs David correctly, after confirming that he told Da’Vonne to “calm down” in her campaign for him.)
But perhaps the most confrontational miscommunication is that between Nicole, Kaysar and Janelle. As you may remember from Sunday’s episode, Kaysar and Janelle Memphis tried to stop nominating Nicole – and later tried to get him back to the doors of the season other Nicole – but Memphis, of course, side with his own alliance and made his own nomination decision.
Then, in the days leading up to the eviction, Nicole begins to worry that Janelle is actually a liability for her own game, and she begins to believe the members of the Memphis Alliance when she tells her that Janelle is alone with her ironed. (Meanwhile, Janelle privately yells at Kaysar that she feels responsible for Nicole on the block, while Kaysar tries to reassure her that she did everything she could to help Nicole this week.)
THE FORGESTION | When it comes time for the speeches beforehand, it’s not Janelle that Nicole is aiming with her words, but Memphis. “My big, strong, hulking, amazing friend, ‘says Nicole, sarcasm in her voice,’ kudos to target … me. Well done!”
But the last slot’s attempt is not enough to get Nicole the votes she needs: She was put off by a 10-2 vote, with Kevin and Enzo (?!) – and net Janelle and Kaysar – as the only voices to keep her. And although she immediately tells Julie Chen Moonves that she was wrong not to trust Janelle, it is not until she sees her farewell messages from Janelle and Kaysar that the reality of her deceived gameplay seems to bother her. ‘I feel so terrible. Sa terrible, ”Nicole shares, speechless. ‘It’s my fault, and I’m guilty [Janelle] excuses up and down. ”
THE HOH COMPETITION | After Nicole is fired, it’s time for the next Head of Housing competition, with Memphis unable to compete for his government. In this competition, house forces are available with three long countertops with numbers on them. They must slide glasses of beer onto each counter, hoping to land on the highest number on each counter; the housekeeper with the highest cumulative point total will win.
Although Enzo has the lead for a while with eight points, he is eventually taken over by Ian with 10 points, and he is finally struck by Tyler, who wins the league by 12 points. Janelle came pretty close to the win with 11 points of her own… but with Tyler now in power, it looks like another long week for Janelle and Kaysar could be ahead. (But hey, Tyler the call Memphis a ‘lame’ ally in this week’s Diary Rooms, so maybe he’s going to set his ears differently?)
With that, I’m handing you over. How do you feel about expelling Nicole? And what do you hope to see from the government of Tyler’s head of household? Tell us in the comments below!
