All search steps, rewards and elite challenge

Pokémon GO’s Annual Pokémon GO Fest is just around the corner, albeit in slightly altered form. This is usually a series of large-scale in-person events that people flock to each year to hang out, catch Pokémon, and wait for some rare regionals. For what should be obvious reasons, there aren’t many international tours these days, and the event has been switched to a completely virtual format. Arguably, it begins this week with the introduction of an event for the big weekend, complete with spawns, raids and some new timed weekly investigations.

This week, the focus is on skill, which on Pokémon GO terms means high quality Pokéball throws and Pokemon catch. Here are the complete steps, with credit to Silph Road for solving them, as always.

Level 1

  • Catch 20 Pokémon: 100 Stardust
  • Make 5 good throws: 10 Poké balls
  • Use 5 berries to catch Pokémon: 5 pineapple berries
  • Stage rewards: 100XP, 1 Golden Razzberry, 10 Great Balls

Stage 2

  • Catch 30 Pokémon: 300 Stardust
  • Make 10 great throws: 10 great balls
  • Transfer 20 Pokémon: 20 Poké Balls
  • Stage Rewards: Ducklett, 300 XP, 1 Silver Pineapple Berry

Stage 3

  • Catch 50 Pokémon: 1000 Stardust
  • Make a great launch: 10 ultra balls
  • Catch 15 different species of Pokémon: 20 Great Balls
  • Stage rewards: Flying Pikachu (s), 1 rare candy, 1 Starpiece

If you complete all of that, you get an elite challenge, which is just to brag about. As you can see below, it contains a brutally difficult task that I am even wary of trying:

Elite challenge

  • Catch 100 Pokémon: 5 Poké Balls
  • Catch 25 different species of Pokémon: 5 Big Balls
  • Make 50 excellent throws: 5 ultra balls

And on top of that, each team has the ability to unlock a special spawn for Go Fest if everyone completes it (they will). Here are those:

  • One million Team Instinct coaches: Chimecho
  • One million trainers of the mystic team: Alomomola
  • One million Team Valor coaches: Chansey

There is! Get out and catch, and we’ll see again next week.
