More possibilities with iPadOS14
The new iPad Air ship with the iPadOS 14, which brings new features and designs that take advantage of the iPad’s unique capabilities, such as its huge multi-touch display and versatile accessories. For better note-taking capabilities and new ways to work with handwritten notes, iPadOS 14 integrates the Apple Pul Pencil into the iPad experience. When taking notes on the iPad, Smart Selection uses non-device machine learning to write separately from signatures, so handwritten text can be easily selected, cut, and pasted into another document as typed text using the same familiar gestures. . Shape recognition allows users to draw shapes that are geometrically perfect and snap when adding figures and pictures to notes. Data detectors work seamlessly with handwritten text, identify phone numbers, dates, addresses and links, making it easier for users to perform tasks such as tapping a handwritten number to make a call.
IPadOS 14 also brings Scribble to the iPad, allowing Apple Pull Pencil users to write directly in any text field, replying to quick iMessage or performing quick and easy searches in Safari – all without the need to remove the Apple Pull Pencil. Scribble uses converting non-device machine learning to convert handwriting into text in real time, so writing is always kept private and secure.
