All Miss Rebels TE Mamarcus Thomas moved to hospital after hitting practice

Miss Lee Miss Freshman Tight & D Mersus Thomas had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries during practice on Monday that left her feeling no sensation in her body.

Coach Lane Keefin was clearly upset as he met with reporters during a regularly scheduled news conference and said Thomas was “potentially seriously injured.”

“Damarcus Thomas was hit and hasn’t moved since,” he said. “The helicopter is coming now.

“Obviously I can answer questions. I have to do my job about the game or whatever it is, but right now nothing feels important because it has been hit and never moved and there is no feeling in its whole body.”

Kifin said the practice closed early.

Kiffin said he found himself thinking about his children because trainers were asking Thomas if he could feel anything on his body and he said no.

“Hopefully this is some serious stinger,” Kiffin said. “I asked the medical staff and they said it happens sometimes. So praying somehow is what it is.”

All the players stayed on the field waiting for the arrival of the helicopter.

Thomas, 18, is from Watley, Alabama. He has appeared in five games this season.

“If you had seen what you saw, you wouldn’t have to worry about whether it would play out,” Kiffin said.

Offers of Thomas, Three Star Prospect, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tulane and others signed with Ole Miss on Fur.

Ole Miss is leading a 54-21 win over Wonderbilt on Saturday, while Kifin improved to 2-4 during his first season as head coach.
