Alex Trebek clarifies the statement of the memories on the treatment of cancer

Alex Trebek’s memoirs came out on Tuesday, but the “Danger!” The host already has an update on his health.

In “The answer is … Reflections on my life,” the 80-year-old host, who is currently battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer, wrote that he would stop treatment if it didn’t work.

“I’m going to continue with this current protocol, so that’s it. If it doesn’t work, I will probably stop treatment, ”she wrote.

But on Wednesday, the Canadian-born television personality released a statement on Twitter clarifying his words.

“That quote from the book was written BEFORE my current regimen, and I was going through bad times,” Trebek wrote.

He explained that his current numbers are “very good,” but if that changes, he would resume chemotherapy instead of stopping all treatment.

“I apologize for any confusion and I want everyone to know that I am optimistic about my current plan and I appreciate your concern,” he concluded.

Trebek first announced his diagnosis in March 2019.

“Now, normally the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I am going to fight against this and I am going to continue working and with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers too, I plan to overcome the low survival rate statistics for this disease, “he said.
