‘Solo’ is one of the least-remembered ‘Star Wars’ movies

Maybe it was because of its location, right after the controversial The Last Jedi. Or maybe people felt a little bit of Star Wars fatigue. But whatever it is, Alone It didn’t work very well.

It was the first film in the franchise to be considered a “failure”. According to Vanity Fair, the film lost 65% of box office revenue within a week of release day. There weren’t a lot of fanfare after launch about it, and it’s kind of forgotten Star Wars movie.

The film focused on a young Han Solo and showed how he got into the smuggling business, the story behind the Millennium Falcon, and his friendship with Lando Calrissian. He also showed his close bond with Qi’ra, who ended up turning against him and working with Maul and Crimson Dawn.

Alden Ehrenreich is not totally opposed to making another movie like Han Solo

While Alone It didn’t work that well, there was still talk of a sequel. In 2018 Ehrenreich was reported to have signed for more films. Was she complicit in how well the film did? It is not clear But Ehrenreich is not opposed to more.

“It depends on what it is … how it’s done,” he told Esquire on July 14 about reprising the role of Han Solo. “It depends on whether you feel innate to the story.”

And as for whether he heard anything about a sequel, he said he knew nothing.

“I mean, you know, I think our movie was one of the last movies from the Star Wars era.”

However, he told the publication that there were some little things he had heard about the galaxy far, far away.

“I’ve heard a lot of things, but nothing concrete.”

A sequel is not a very popular idea for creators

Although contracts may still be in force for some actors or ideas may be floating, the possibility of Alone the sequel was not appealing to those who worked on the film after its release.

In September 2018, co-writer Jonathan Kasdan spoke about the low chances of a sequel to the Han Solo movie. Comicbook.com reported that he tweeted various things about the film, including a mention of the potential (or lack of potential) for a sequel.

“To be honest, I think the challenge has more to do with the foreign box office than with the United States,” he wrote. “Personally, I think you can make great Star Wars movies that don’t need to cost that much. Hopefully that is the trend for years to come, and maybe, just maybe, that trend will allow us, in one way or another, to tell more stories with Alden [Ehrenreich]Joonas [Suotamo]Emilia [Clarke]and donald [Glover]. “

So things are really up in the air in this case. But if Disney and Lucasfilm look at what’s working for fans, they’ll be heading more in the direction of The Mandalorian and Star Wars, the Clone Wars.
