Alabama’s coaching staff is still pushing to add athletic tight wings to their roster as they featured 2022 tight end Elijah Brown on Monday.

14 schools have offered the Ohio product in their junior season. The statewide program, Akron, was the first school to offer Brown when they extended an offer in June 2019. Brown said he feels the Crimson Tide winning tradition really stands out when he talks about Alabama’s offer.
“I was super excited when I found out,” said Brown. “I love how consistent they are to win. They are always in the top five or top three or close to winning a championship. They are always in the playoffs, I really like that. “
Alabama is the first SEC program offered by Brown.
Tide tight end coach Jeff Banks has tried to put his best foot forward in Tide’s effort to add more athletic tight wings. After earning the 4-star tight end, Caden Clark in the 2020 recruiting cycle, Alabama does not have a tight end commitment in the recruiting class of 2021. During Alabama’s tight wire recruiting in recent times, they have He showed interest in hybrid players on the job and Brown fits that mold.
The youngster on the rise currently weighs 6-5 and 230 pounds. As a sophomore, Huber Heights consistently targeted Brown in the short pass game as he was able to show his confident hands. He also spent time lined up as a wide receiver and showed his willingness to catch the ball in traffic.
The Tide coaching staff told Brown that they liked a couple parts of their game.
“They said they really like my athletics and my hands,” added Brown. “I also said they liked it, that I’m not afraid to get my face dirty when I’m blocking.”

Alabama’s recruiting class of 2021 has two verbal commitments at this time. They will seek to ‘continue building a relationship’ with Brown and hopefully bring him to campus for a visit sometime in the future.
