Alabama Crimson Tide 2021 Recruitment: Bama steals from Georgia lineman

For months and months, Terrence “TJ” Ferguson It was believed to be a dump signature with the Georgia Bulldogs. However, it was not meant to be. The senior offensive lineman announced his commitment to Alabama on Sunday.

The 4-star resident of Fort Valley, GA is ranked 47th overall by 247sports Composite Rankings and is ranked second best guard.

“He is of adequate height and length for an offensive lineman. You have room to add good mass to your body and also reshape your body once in a college strength and conditioning program. He works as a left tackle for his high school, but he could project himself at various points along the offensive line at the next level. He is a functional and athletic player and combines his footwork with his length and heavy hands, making him a punishing racing blocker. Play with an edge and finish the blocks with authority. Effective for getting a push against defensive ends and at the same time having the athletic ability to reach the second level against the linebackers. He appears more advanced as a run blocker than pass protection at this point, but shows signs of becoming an effective protector in the pass game with his length, feet, and ability to anchor on contact. It has a bit of positional uncertainty and some lack of true athletic context at this stage and will need to continue to develop from a technical point of view. ” Charles Power 247sports

Ferguson helped take Peach County to second place in the AAA State category in 2019. The Crimson Tide will likely develop the 6’4 “300-pound draft as a guard, but he can certainly play tackle at this level.

Ferguson is Bama’s 15th engagement for the Class of 2021. He chose the Tide over UGA with FSU in third place. Charles Kelly was the main recruiter with the help of Kyle flood.

The additions of Ferguson, twins Brockermeyer and JC Latham are making this class an epic for the offensive line.
