Akim Hicks may be on the trade block

Earlier in the day, the Chicago Bears offered the Seattle Seahawks three first-round picks, a third-round pick, plus two undefeated P-players for Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson. Seattle, of course, just turned on the Bears, and they went on to sign quarterback Andy Dalton. CBS Sports’ Jason La ConforaI know, I know, his track record on bear news is at best sketchy – It has been reported that Bears’ GM Ryan Pace actually offered Sihks to select a number of players, including starter Akim Hicks and Khalil Mack.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that Seattle is not the only team that has talked to the Bears about Hicks’ trade, saying there are “glitches” around the league that Hicks is available.

Trading the 31-year-old Hicks will create a big hole in the bear’s defense, but it will also create a space of 10.5 million caps for 2021.

The Bears signed defensive lineman Angelo Blackson on Wednesday night to bolster their position night depth, but he won’t be able to mimic Hicks’ position on defense.
