AJ Styles proposes an intercontinental championship match with The Undertaker

The Undertaker announced during the Gravedigger: The last trip Finally, he had no intention of reentering a WWE ring, effectively withdrawing from the business of professional wrestling. The final episode primarily covered Undertaker’s WWE finale match, the acclaimed Boneyard Match with AJ Styles in WrestleMania 36 In April Styles has not slammed the door in an interview rematch since then, and while talking to Vincente Beltran this week, he proposed offering “The Deadman” a shot at their Intercontinental Championship.

“If I thought that would take him to the ring with me, in front of thousands of people, I would definitely host the Intercontinental Championship,” Styles said. “Is that going to happen, is he going to bite the bait? Probably not. If he’s decided he’s done, I respect him. He’s definitely done enough in his career to say ‘that’s it, I’m done.’ Trust me, I know How is it.

I can’t imagine doing what he’s done for so long, I really can’t, “added Styles.” The only thing he gained was the right to resign on his own terms, but it would definitely offer him the opportunity. “

Interestingly, the IC title is one of the few championships that “The Phenom” never won during his WWE career. Winning that title would give him the prestigious honor of being a Triple Crown Champion, a feat that many of his teammates accomplished over the years.

Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, explained in the final episode that he felt the Boneyard Match was a perfect send-off for his character.

“My career, my legacy, speaks for itself. At the end of the day, that’s really all that matters,” Calaway said. “And I have this other life that I need to go to, experience and enjoy the fruits of my work, enjoy the blessings that I have: my wife, my children.”

“I think I’m in a place now after Boneyard, it’s like I’m a simple battle against one of the best in the business,” he added. “Here you are getting on your motorcycle and taking off. There were a lot of thoughts and a lot of emotions that went through my head. One of those is, are you happy enough with that? It was just a powerful moment, and you don’t always get it necessarily. Yes there was ever a perfect race, that’s all. If Vince was in trouble, would he come back? I guess time will only tell. In case of an emergency break the glass, take out The Undertaker, I’d have to consider that. Never say never. But At this point in my life and career, I don’t feel like going back to the ring. “

He concluded: “I have a hole in my stomach right now (laughs). This time the cowboy is really leaving.”
