AJ Green has already formed an opinion on Joe Burrow

Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow will pitch an all-time great catcher in 2020.

Before the 2020 NFL Draft, there was a lot of talk about whether LSU football’s Joe Burrow wanted to play for the Cincinnati Bengals.

The “talk” about Burrow not wanting to play for the Bengals was almost completely silly. The idea was that Burrow would not want to play for a franchise that was not perceived as an attempt to win annually.

Amid the “controversy” of the Bengals / Burrow draft, there was an element of the old LSU that played for Cincinnati that was constantly overlooked.

Green has dealt with several injuries in recent years (an ankle injury forced him to miss the entire 2019 season), but he remains one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

The former Georgia star, who turns 32 later this month, is a seven-time Pro-Bowl receiver. Green led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards in 2013. He is a player any young quarterback would love to work with.

Burrow was in a rare position after his 2019 season in Baton Rouge that he could have landed with a team that didn’t have wide receivers as good as who he played with in college (Justin Jefferson was a Minnesota Vikings first-round pick this year and Ja’Marr Chase would have been one of the top five options if he had been eligible for the draft.)

But luckily for Burrow, he’ll be able to play one of the best in the game at Green.

AJ Green already formed his opinion on Joe Burow

Green, who says he is healthy before the 2020 season, has yet to meet Burrow. But he already feels something about the winner of the 2019 Heisman Trophy.

“I know what kind of player he is and I know he is a dog. I know it’s a dog indeed. So I am excited to play with him. I just can’t wait to get out, ”Green said Friday (via ESPN’s Ben Baby).

It is not surprising to hear that Green feels the same way about Burrow: There is no one on the planet (other than Colin Cowherd) who sees anything but greatness in Burrow.
