Hawaii Department of Health officials today reported two more coronavirus-related deaths and 114 new infections nationwide across Oahu, bringing the total number of deaths in the state since the onset of the epidemic to 99 and 10,700 COV-19 cases.
There was no immediate word on the latest death.
A total of 86 deaths occurred on Oahu, nine on Maui, three on Big Island, while one was a Caii resident who died on the mainland, according to state health officials.
State health officials have calculated a recent reported coronavirus-related death on the island of Hawaii at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home, where an outbreak has killed 10 residents. Health officials have told the Honolulu star-advertiser that an investigation into Hilo’s death is pending. Meanwhile, the Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency has reported 11 coronavirus-related deaths on the Big Island these days, with the exception of all connected to the senior home.
The death toll in the U.S. today is over 194,000.
New Hawaii cases today include 96 on Oahu, 16 on Big Island and two in Maui County. As a result of the updated information, one Oahu case and one Big Island case were removed from Tally.
To date, across the state, 03636 infections are considered active cases, with a total of 5,5 is classified by health officials. Patients are now classified as “free from loneliness” or about 33% are infected. The category includes those infected who have met the criteria for loneliness. Officials have registered 147 new release cases today.
The total number of coronavirus cases by county today since the outbreak is 9,654 in Oahu, 587 in Hawaii County, 375 in Maui County, and 58 in KKE County. Outside the state, 26 Hawaiian residents are also diagnosed.

Officials counted 4,132 new tests in today’s telefilm, with today’s 114 positive cases representing 2.8% of the total test. Of the 259,531 coronavirus tests performed by state and clinical laboratories in Hawaii since the outbreak began, a total of 4.1% have been positive. Of the 36,116 coronavirus surge tests so far, less than 1% have been positive.
Lt. Gov. tested positive for coronavirus. Josh Green said Saturday that air hospitals now have 225 confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients, 53 of whom are in intensive care units and 31 on ventilators. He said 158, or 65% of the state’s 244 ICU beds, 83, or 18% of Hawaii’s 459 ventilators, both coronavirus and non-virus patients are in use.

Of the confirmed air cases, 3535 need to be hospitalized, a new hospital was admitted to Oahu today, health officials said.
The statewide count includes Hawaiians admitted to two hospitals who were diagnosed and treated outside the state. Of the state’s 6,636 hospitals, 2,566 are on Oahu, 47 on Maui, ૨ Hawaii on the island of Hawaii and one on Kauai.
By county, Honolulu has seen 2,969 patients released from isolation, Hawaii County has seen 306 releases, Maui has seen 233 patients released. According to the health department, there are no active cases in Kauai till date.
