Adele rarely shares photos of herself on Instagram, so when she does, it’s always an unexpected treat for her 37.6 million followers.
One of those photos came on Saturday (June 27) when the 32-year-old British singer shared an image of herself performing on stage with open arms and a face looking at the sky. To further provoke fans, she captioned the image with a simple smiley face emoji.
This, of course, left his millions of followers guessing what the great photo might symbolize. Most seemed to agree, or wait, that could mean new music is on the way, but Adele quickly crushed those rumors in the comment section.
“Teaser? Will the albums be out today ??? !!!! Tell me now !!!!” A fan wrote in response to the photo.
Adele responded to the comment, writing: “Of course not. Corona is not done. I am quarantined. Wear a mask and be patient.”
Adele’s last album came in 2015 with the release of 25, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. The set, their third studio album, featured the Billboard Hot 100 hits “Hello” and “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”.
Adele last shared a photo of herself on Instagram in May. The image, which showed the singer looking elegant in a short black dress, was a thank you to fans who wished her a happy 32nd birthday.
“Thanks for the birthday love. I hope you are all safe and sound during this crazy time,” captioned the photo.
