After Adele shared photos of herself ‘five ciders down’ watching her Glastonbury headline on the BBC, Skepta sparked romance rumors with her Instagram comment.
With the Glastonbury festival canceled this year, some of the best sets of all time aired over the weekend, giving viewers a chance to feel like they’re in the front row watching everyone from David Bowie to Beyoncé.
On Saturday, Adele’s performance from the Pyramid stage in 2016 was shown in its entirety, something that even the 32-year-old was installed to enjoy. “5 ciders in 👌🏻,” she wrote to her 37 million Instagram followers, along with a photo of her holding a small fan and wearing the same Chloe dress that she led.
As expected, the comments were full of praise (Mark Ronson wrote “That’s nonsense,” while Kaya Scodelario added “God I love you 🙌🏻”), there was one comment in particular that fans got.
“I finally got your Instagram password hahaha,” wrote rapper Skepta, in a comment that has since had more than 7,000 likes. Fans began to reply “I’m here for that” and “Queen and King” to her comment, while others added, “Did you take the photo?” and “Wait a damn minute!”
While neither Adele nor Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga, have responded to speculation, this is not the first time that they have sparked romance rumors. The couple first bonded in October 2019, following Adele’s separation from husband Simon Konecki the previous April.
According to a source from The Sun at the time, the two artists born and raised in Tottenham have been friends for a time, but the romance was flourishing. “Adele and Skepta have been very close to each other after their relationships broke up. They have a close bond and there is definitely a special connection.”
“They spend more and more time together. Some of their friends hope and predict that they could end up being a great couple someday. Both are deprived of their love life and both are committed to their children in the first place. Good.”
