Adams County COVID-19 positive tests reached triple digits

QUINCY (WGEM) – The Adams County Health Department reported seven additional positive cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Bring the total number of cases in Adams County to 105.

Health officials report that there are currently 61 active cases of COVID-19 in Adams County.

They also reported that another person had been hospitalized, bringing the total to two.

Authorities reported the number of people recovered at 43 on Friday.

On Thursday, health officials had urged people to take precautions when we headed to the weekend of July 4.

“People who attend larger meetings are likely to be exposed to COVID-19. While Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan allows for opportunities for larger meetings, the goal is still to keep people socially aloof, using precautions from safety such as masks and hand sanitizer, and to keep groups small and separate. When these measures cannot be followed, it is recommended that event organizers postpone your event and / or that people do not attend. Also, we are seeing an increase in cases at the national level where precautions have been reduced, and areas where progress toward a safe reopening has stalled. “
