Following actress Kelly Preston’s death on Sunday (July 12) after a two-year battle with breast cancer, Adam Levine turned to social media to remember his video co-star “She Will Be Loved.”
“My first mock kiss … we will miss you Kelly,” Levine wrote alongside a screenshot from the music video. “You will always have a special place in my heart.”
Preston, best known for her role in Jerry maguire, played the mother of Levine’s girlfriend in the music video, stealing the heart of the young leader of Maroon 5.
After his death, Preston’s husband John Travolta visited Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news. “With a heavy heart, I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer, “he wrote.” She fought a brave fight with the love and support of so many people. My family and I will always be grateful to their doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers they have helped, as well as their many friends and loved ones who have been by their side. “
“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered,” he continued. “I will take time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you have not heard from us for a while. But please keep in mind that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. “
