Former NFL player and WWE analyst Pat McAfee had former NXT champion Adam Cole in The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday and although it started out as a normal interview, things fell apart once Cole lost his temper. At the end of the conversation, McAfee mentioned the fact that many fans compare Cole to one of her idols, Shawn Michaels. McAfee disagreed and said Cole “was not close to what Shawn Michaels was.” That touched Cole, who was furious.
“I never, never said I was as good as Shawn Michaels,” said Cole. “I know I have years and years before I get to that point. I think Shawn recognizes that I’m on the way to maybe having a career like his one day. But he will tell you, and I will tell you that I ‘m not worried about to be the second coming of Shawn Michaels. I’m going to be the first Adam Cole. I really don’t know what you’re trying to say. “
McAfee stepped back and brought up La era indisputable.
“I know you’re just trying to do your job and that’s fine. I took time out of visiting my family to come do your show, but you’re being an idiot right now,” said Cole. “And it seems so ironic to me, that of all the people saying that I surrounded myself with great talent and that is the reason why I was successful, of all the people who? What, a gambler? Are you in a team that literally did everything “? he continues. “You just kicked a soccer ball once in a while. And suddenly you feel like you’re very, very important. McAfee increased Cole’s size, leading him to break up.
“F – you, Pat! Seriously. I’m sick of your shit! I’m coming this far. Take some time away from my family to come do your stupid shit show and you’re going to continue to disrespect me!”
Cole then pushed a producer and left. McAfee posted a statement on Twitter after he apologized.
Is this setting something up for future NXT episodes? Who knows, but it is entertaining independently.
Cole dropped his NXT Championship to Keith Lee two weeks ago, ending his record reign as NXT Champion at 403 days.
