AC / DC releases ‘Shut in the Dark’ from next single, album


AC / DC fans are getting a taste of their upcoming album, “Power Up” with a new upcoming release on Wednesday.

The legendary rock band announced last week that they were meeting members of the original live band for their debut album from 201 Living. The group, made up of Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams, announced that the first single for the album, “Shot in the Dark”, was released. It will be released on the 7th at 12 noon.

According to Rolling Stone, the album will include unleashed songs that Angus wrote with his brother, Malcolm, who died in 2017.

“This record is very dedicated to my brother, Malcolm,” Angus Young told the outlet. “A tribute to him like ‘Back in Black’ was a tribute to Bon Scott.”

News of a reunion album was welcomed by fans who have been following the group for many years. Before their 2014 album, they would have largely parted ways. Rad has not visited the band for many years due to legal issues. Bass player Williams announced his retirement in 2016.

According to Variety, 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the band’s biggest album, 1980’s “Back in Black”, which released a hit track for the band, such as the title track as well as “You Shook Me All Night Long”. The album sold more than 50 million copies worldwide, according to the outlet.
