Pinehurst, N.C. – A coronavirus outbreak has been reported in a nursing home in Moore County, with positive confirmation from 48 residents and 10 staff members.
Covid outbreaks are defined as two or more lab-confirmed cases. This is the second outbreak in the greens at Pinehurst.
The first outbreak of greens was by October 30th. The outbreak produced a total of 8 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
29 Nov. Tests conducted from 29 to 2 December produced new rounds of positive results. Now, the facility will continue weekly testing until an outbreak in their facility.
Peak resource pinlake and quail haven are also their second outbreaks. There have been 19 outbreaks of long-term care facilities in Moore County this year.
In all, Moore County has 3,08989 confirmed COVID-19 cases to date.
