Aaron Rogers: More embarrassment than injury on the fourth quarter mess

Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers looked good for a 30-16 win over the Falcons on Monday night, but there was a turbulent moment in the fourth quarter of the competition.

Rogers was trying to avoid the rush of the Atlanta Pass and rolled the turf in an awkward fashion as part of that effort. He went back slowly, but stayed in the game and after the final whistle told ESPN’s Lisa Sutters that he has a more red face about what the play looks like than concerns about his health.

“I think it was more embarrassing than the injury,” Rogers said. “My ankle, or knee, something, may be a little hyperrested, but I’m fine.”

The Packers have a bye in Week Five so, there’s plenty of time for Rogers to make sure everything is OK. It’s also time for giant receiver Davante Adams to recover from his hamstring injury, which will put the Packers in a good offensive position for a week-long trip to Tampa Bay.
