A TV Mailman float idea to help USPS

(News)
– One of the most famous postmen – albeit a fictional one – is out with an idea to help the beleagured Post Office. John Ratzenberger, who played Cliff on Cheers, included a video in which he pursued his simple plan, reports CNN. In essence, people have to spend money in the USPS Store, whether online or in person. “Why not translate the dollar amount you’ll pay for Aunt Tilly’s new hat and just buy her that number of stamps,” Ratzenberger suggests. “Easy to carry, easy to ship, easy to ship – and it’s worth something, and it’s going to be worth something for a long time.”

In addition, he asks himself, “how many times will Aunt Tilly wear that hat?” Once or twice? “But how many times will she use those stamps? That’s right, always think.” Ratzenberger did not wait in the politics of the current USPS situation, and his offer may not have been exactly altruistic. He recorded the video at the request of musician Tim Kasher on the Cameo website, reports Rolling stone. That’s where celebs make videos on request for a fee. Ratzenberger’s fee is typically $ 120.
