A total of 721 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the government base on Saturday, killing 13 people


Lexington, Q. (WKYT) – Governor Andy Bachere announced 721 new COVD-19 cases in Kentucky on Saturday. The state now has 56 56,41. Cases have been reported. The positivity rate is 4.14%.

“Our positivity rate has been declining since yesterday, but we need to keep that number down,” the government bachelor said.

Of the cases reported in the new report, 811 were children aged 18 and over, of whom 15 were children five or older. The youngest is War Run County’s 6 months.

The governor also reported 13 new deaths on Saturday. That brings the total COVID-19 related deaths in Kentucky to 1,057.

“You need to keep masking, stay away socially and keep doing what it takes to defeat COVID-19,” Gov. Basher said. “This thing is fatal and it’s real so let’s treat it like that.”

The death reported Saturday included an 89-year-old man from Barren County; An 83-year-old woman from Bell County; Two women, aged 80 and 83, and two men, both aged 81, of Jefferson County; A 78-year-old woman from Logan County; A 59-year-old woman from Muhlenberg County; A 76-year-old woman from Simpson County; And three women aged 62, 81 and 93, and a 72-year-old man from War Run County.

As of Saturday, at least 990,957 tests had been performed. The number of Kentuckies recovered is at least 10,872.

Following the recent spike and daily record of deaths in the new daily cases reported on Thursday, Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack reported the news related to waiting for the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We are waiting for the vaccine, we can do one thing there. We can get a vaccine that already exists: the flu vaccine. Protecting yourself from the flu is more important than ever. Influenza outbreaks on top of the COVID-19 epidemic could be devastating this fall and winter. The healthcare systems on which Kentucky relies can be overwhelmed by what some say is a ‘developed disease.’
