A Texas woman died on board the Covid-19, the county report said


The woman was in her 30s and had a “high-risk health condition,” Dallas County said in a news release.

The woman died late July after being bitten by a mixture of asphalt at New Mexico Airport, Judge Clay Jenkins told CNN. Dallas County Health and Human Services reported her death for the first time in news published Sunday.

No other details were made available for reasons of medical privacy.

The woman was among 554 confirmed new Covid-19 cases reported by Dallas County on Sunday. As of noon on Tuesday, more than 2.3 million cases had been reported nationwide, and more than 250,000 people had died, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The news comes that people feel more comfortable flying during the epidemic: more than 1 million passengers were checked by the Transportation Security Administration on Sunday, the highest since March 16, according to the agency.
Several studies, including two published last month, have suggested that the coronavirus spreads in aircraft, with a Defense Department study released last week showing that aircraft’s ventilation systems effectively filter air and emit particles that can infect the virus.
