Warning: This recap includes major spoilers A million small things‘Season 3 Premiere.
After a long and painful wait, A million small things Fans The question was answered on Thursday It’s lying there, bleeding on the pavement since March:
Was it Eddie’s hit-and-run in the final match of season 2?
Thanks, the answer is no. In the opener of Season Open, after some strangers administered CPR and called an ambulance, Theo’s dad spends touch-and-go hours in the hospital’s intensive care unit, before he wakes up and recognizes both Katherine and her son. But that’s not all good news: when Theo is lying on his dad’s hospital bed, it becomes clear that there is no emotion in Eddie’s legs.
One month fast-forward, and Eddie is on leave. He is in good spirits but realizes that the road ahead will be difficult: he is unable to walk and must use a wheelchair to get around. “I can’t help but feel like I’ve put you down once again, and I fully understand. If you said you can’t do this anymore, ”he tells Catherine on her way home.
When they get back home, the gang is there: Rome, Regina, Gary, Darcy, Delah, Theo, Sophie, Charlie and Maggie too (from Ox Xford to FaceTime). They have built ramps at the front and back entrances of the house, which touch the AD. But it is almost undone when Katherine takes him to the backyard of the house, where everything is arranged for him to renew his vows as he finally thinks of his hit-and-run night.
So they go through the ceremony. In his vows (which were written before the accident), AD admitted that he had broken his original marriage contract – Delilah was seeing Chargin (hey) – but he was grateful for what they had done. He starts to cry a little while referring to John’s “Million Little Things” toast and says, “For me, people are the ones who hold your hand because you’ll take a million small steps in the right direction.” The whole Shebang ends on an up note, ADA said he could get anything because of his and Katherine’s love. And when they kiss, everyone applauds.
Around the street, a man in a red pickup truck sees the group from a distance. He is the father of Alex, with whose death Eddie thinks he may have been involved all these years ago. And he doesn’t seem too happy for the newlyweds. (Be sure to read our premiere post-mortem to see what series producer DJ Nash has to say about that small turn.)
In other news:
Maggie’s new roommate in Oxford is a guy named Jamie (played by) You are the worst‘Chris Gear’) with whom she has a very annoying first encounter.
* Gary and Darcy run strong, but we know he never told her he went to the airport before Maggie left. When she has to face this fact gently, she apologizes, and they seem to pass it on very easily.
Refresh their heartache with Rome and Regina on the eve There is a chance to adopt a separate child born in another part of the state on the night of Eddie’s accident. When Catherine blesses him to go and deal with her, Rome deeply wants to move forward and try to put the loss of her potential son behind her. But Regina can’t change her feelings so easily, and Rome eventually tells the social worker that they won’t adopt this new baby. Long story short: Things are not right between R&R.
