A meteor hovering in the sky over Vermont this weekend

More than 100 people spotted the meteorite around 5:38 pm local time on Sunday, NASA Meteorological Watch said on Facebook.
A meteor is seen in the upper left corner of this image, captured by a camera feed on Sunday, March 7, at the airport in Burlington, Vermont.
Al Gregoritsch, from South Burlington, told CNN’s WPTZ that there was no noise. “I was so excited to see him. This is an event I will never forget.”

The meteor was seen traveling 33 miles northeast – from Mount Mansfield State Forest to Beach Hill in Orleans County, south of Newport, the agency said.

NASA Meteor and Watch Che said the likely object was probably a piece of asteroid, while a report of trembling witnesses stated that it was due to a difference in the front and rear pressure of the object object.

More than 100 people reported seeing the meteorite on Sunday evening, according to NASA Meteorological Watch.

The space rock was violently shattered, producing a pressure wave that rocked buildings and made a noise heard by people near the road, the agency said. “Such a pressure wave can also cause the couple to sit on the ground, causing minor ‘vibrations’ by the seismic equipment in the area.”

Based on infrasound measurements, which are low-frequency sounds that can travel great distances, the agency was able to measure the fireball lawn weighing about 10 pounds with a diameter of about 6 inches.

The agency told him, “Nice little fireworks, courtesy of Mother Nature.”
