SALT LAKE CITY – The number of Covid-19 cases rose to 651 from 191 on Friday, according to the Utah Department of Health.
Eight of the deaths occurred before Feb-February, but they were being investigated by state medical examiners, according to the health department.
The Department of Health estimates that there are 17,979 active cases of the disease in Utah. As of Friday, another 22,092 vaccine doses had been given, according to the health department.
The average number of seven-day positive cases is now 444, according to the health department.
