A California woman has been arrested for allegedly surrounding a car

A woman was arrested Saturday in protest of her car on Long Beach, California, in which two people were seriously injured, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Tatiana Turner, 40, was taken into custody after he struck a man and a woman with his car in the parking lot of the Yorba Linda Public Library, according to a press release from the Orange Range County Sheriff’s Department.

Turner will be charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, the release said. The investigation is ongoing.

The incident took place around 3pm, about an hour after the protests began.

The protest was called by a group called “Caravan for Justice” in support of Black Lives Matter. For the same time a resistance protest was scheduled. About 150 people were present at the start of the protest, the release said, adding that “deputy officials are present to protect the constitutional rights of all individuals and to protect life and property.”

About 30 minutes after the protests began, the sheriff’s department began receiving reports of physical fighting between the two groups, according to a press release.

Police declared two illegal assemblies as fighting continued between the two groups and ordered the mob to disperse. Police said there were also reports that people in the crowd had weapons.

Jason Mancuso, 46, of Anheim, was arrested for failing to comply with a dispersal order.

The man and woman accused of Turner’s car were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but are expected to recover. The man had two broken legs, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Dennis Breckner. The woman suffered moderate injuries to her entire body, Breckner said.
