9 test positive for coronavirus at school in Georgia that went viral for full hall photo


Nine people have been infected with coronavirus at a school in Georgia, where a teen was detained for taking pictures of a crowded hall, in which many students were seen without masks, according to a report.

North Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga., Informed parents in a letter Saturday that six students and three faculty members tested positive for the virus, ABC News reported.

“We expected COVID-19 to affect us, as it has almost every community, and the district has partnered with the Department of Public Health (DPH) to proactively implement safety measures and response plans,” she wrote in ‘ e letter.

The outbreak comes after Hannah Watters, 15, was stopped last week for posting on Twitter a video of other students jamming in the hallway during the first week back from classes.

She tweeted on Friday that the school had withdrawn her suspension. “This morning my school called and they removed my suspension,” she said wrote on Twitter.
