85 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) now linked to the outbreak in the East Lansing bar

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Health officials are now reporting 85 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) related to an outbreak in an East Lansing bar as of Saturday.

On Tuesday, a notice was issued that 14 people who visited the restaurant between June 12 and 20 contracted the virus. Confirmed cases related to the outbreak site rose to 51 on Thursday and then to 65 on Friday.

Ingham County health officials say they expect the numbers of COVID-19 cases related to this outbreak to continue to rise.

People who visited Harper’s restaurant between June 12 and 20 are asked to quarantine for 14 days and monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms, which can develop up to 14 days after The exhibition.

Bars and restaurants in Michigan they were allowed to reopen on June 8 with regulations designed to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

As of Friday, the Ingham County Health Department said two people who didn’t go to Harper’s tested positive and probably contracted the virus from someone who was at the bar.
