The Daily Rest is easing the rules on restaurant rental opening hours and liquor licenses in an effort to help businesses recover from the economic impact of the epidemic.

Rest Restaurants in the city will now be allowed to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, when epidemics close at night, in contrast to pre-epidemic conditions.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced a number of measures to boost business after easing epidemic restrictions following a meeting with representatives of the Indian National Restaurant Association.

“Restaurant rentals in Delhi are the pride of Delhi and provide employment to millions (hundreds of thousands) of people. I have instructed all concerned departments to remove unnecessary hurdles in the smooth running of rest restaurant rentals in Delhi,” Kejriwal said.

Several licensing amendments were introduced, including the removal of some “archeological” rules for serving alcohol in restaurants. Restaurants will be allowed to drink in open areas without additional fees and licenses for all types of music will be allowed.

India forced its 1.3 billion people home, announcing a nationwide lockdown on March 24. On June 8, restaurants were allowed to reopen in Delhi amid easing restrictions. According to the Indian Ministry of Health, 298,107 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Delhi, killing 5,616 people.

Nationwide Campaign: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Covid-19 campaign to promote proper behavior, “in view of the upcoming festivals and winter season as well as the start of the economy.”

The announcement will include social media posts, banners, wall paintings and an electronic display board with the message “Wear (a) wear a mask, follow physical distance, maintain hand hygiene”.

At least 6.8 million Kovid-19 cases have been reported in India, including more than 105,000 deaths, according to health ministry figures.
