(WEEK) – Local health departments in the Tri-County area of Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties reported 70 additional cases Friday, bringing the total area to 3,203.
Peoria County reported an increase of 32 cases for a total of 2,091.
Tazewell County announced 28 new cases, bringing the total to 883, and Woodford County reported 10 new cases for a total of 229.
No additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported Friday. Peoria County remains at 36, Tazewell at nine and Woodford at three.
The health departments report that 66.6% of the cases have been repaired, while 30.4% are at home in isolation and 1.6% are hospitalized.
Hospitals in the area report that 12 cases are currently in the ICU, with two people investigating that the virus also has in the ICU.
There are 37 non-ICU beds in use by those who tested positive and those who were examined.
In McLean County, an additional 21 cases were reported for a total of 893.
The McLean County Department of Health says 202 people are in isolation at home while three remain hospitalized. There are no active cases in the ICU.
The seven-day rolling positivity rate stands at 3.6% through August 19th.
With 38,400 tests performed, the cumulative positive rate is 2.3%

Statewide, 2,208 new cases were confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health for a total of 215,929.
An additional 24 COVID-19-related deaths were also reported, bringing the state’s total to 7,857.
The seven-day positivity rate as of August 20 stands at 4.3%.
As of Thursday night, there were 1,526 cases in the hospital, with 351 of those in the ICU and 121 on ventilators, according to the IDPH.
In the last 24 hours, 51,736 tests for the virus were reported by labs to bring the state’s total to 3,592,919.

- DuPage County: 1 man 50 years
- Iroquois County: 1 man 80s

- Lake County: 1 man 70s, 1 woman 80s
- LaSalle County: 1 woman 70s
- Macon County: 1 woman 80s
- Madison County: 1 man 60s, 1 woman 90s
- Mason County: 1 man 50 years
- Perry County: 1 man 90s
- Rock Island County: 1 woman 80s
- Sangamon County: 1 woman 90s
- Will County: 1 man 60 years
- Williamson County: 1 man 70 years
