Christopher Nolan’s next film, Tenet, has been delayed once again. This time, however, it has been delayed indefinitely, meaning that a new release will be scheduled whenever the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is no longer a factor. Since most movie theaters are still closed, this should come as no great surprise.
Originally, Tenet was supposed to hit theaters last week, on July 17. However, it was delayed until July 31, before being postponed until August 12, as it is apparently trying to give New Mutants some competition for most scheduled release dates. In a statement, the President of Warner Bros. said: “We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, the totally original and mind-boggling feature of Christopher Nolan. Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to proliferate, causing us to reevaluate our release dates. “
So what should a Christopher Nolan fan do when they expected to see a new movie from the director and try to figure out what it means? What better time to dive back into his filmography and instead finally reach the end of his long list of films like Following from 1998 or his war movie Dunkirk. Chances are you’ve seen his Batman trilogy too many times to count right now, so don’t worry about it.
Here are the Christopher Nolan movies to catch while you wait every time you really go to see Tenet.
