San Luis Obispo County reported a three-day total of 68 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the county’s total to 765 confirmed cases as of July 6.
There were 21 new cases on Saturday, 26 on Sunday and 21 on Monday.
Thirteen people are hospitalized, including five patients who are in the ICU.
Another 185 people are recovering at home and 565 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County has had two deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Currently, free COVID-19 tests are available to the public in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo and Atascadero.
The emerging test clinic in Atascadero will only be open from Monday, July 6 until Thursday, July 9.

Health officials say 315, or about 41%, of the county’s total cases are the result of the patient’s direct contact with a person who tested positive for the virus; 259 cases are attributed to the spread of the community; and, 90 cases are the result of traveling out of the county. Another 101 cases are still under investigation.

Another 18 cases are in communities with fewer than five cases, and the Department of Public Health is not identifying those locations. The location of a case appears as “unknown”.
