CPS Energy

Nirenberg said the CPS Energy has almost finished restoring power in the San Antonio area. By Saturday night, all but 40 customers had restored power.

However, CPS Energy officials said a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Friday night, leaving 1,630 customers living near Couples Road and Manafi Boulevard without electricity, however, those customers have restored their electricity, Nirenberg said.

The Week Raza company is now working to slow down the billing process for customers to overcome the impact from this week’s winter weather conditions.

Customers are appealed not to worry about their bills right now and the service will not be connected if they are unable to pay at this time. For more information about this, click here.

San Antonio Water System

Robert Puente, CEO of the San Antonio Water System, announced during a briefing on Saturday that parts of San Antonio have now been released from boil water notices. This means they no longer have to boil water before they consume it. For areas which are no longer under Boils notice, click here.

Customers still under boil notice may not have a lack of water, but may have a lack of pressure. Puent estimates that most of these issues will be resolved by Monday.

The San Antonio area still doesn’t have 10%, or 9%, water, according to SHSS, but crews are still working on restoration efforts.
