EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The death toll from coronavirus now stands at 372 in El Paso County.
The Department of Public Health reported six new coronavirus deaths Wednesday morning. The latest victims were named as:
- Woman in her 60s
- Woman in her 70s
- Woman in her 80s
- 2 men in their 80s
- Woman in her 90s
Health officials also announced 152 new cases, and 80 “delayed” test results. These retroactive positive results were provided by the state, which at the request of the city has managed several test sites in El Paso.
It is the fifth consecutive day that week-old cases have been reported.
There have now been 18,914 confirmed cases in El Paso County, with nearly 14,000 reported repairs – although some recovered individuals may still be facing persistent health problems. That means there are 4,594 active cases, which is a new record for the province.
Hospitalizations are on the rise again – increasing from 160 to 168. The number of patients in El Paso’s ICUs has decreased from 57 to 52. There are 32 patients on ventilators.
