LANCASTER, California (KABC) – Lancaster officials are seeking help from the public to find two suspects related to the attack by a Starbucks barista.

The two entered Starbucks on West Avenue on June 4 without masks, despite signs informing customers of the requirement.

When the employee approached them and asked them to put on a mask, one of the men allegedly hit the victim in the face, causing the employee to suffer a broken jaw, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station Lancaster. . Both men fled the scene.

The City of Lancaster now offers a $ 5,000 reward to anyone who helps authorities identify and locate suspects.

“I am deeply saddened and angry about the assault,” Mayor Rex Perris said in a statement. “Our nation is in crisis, now is a time for our community to unite. This behavior is despicable and we need your help to help identify these men so that justice can be done.”

The assailant is described as six feet two inches tall, weighing approximately 230 pounds. The second suspect is around six feet six inches tall and weighs around 245 pounds.
