Twenty-five new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Sunday in Northeast Minnesota.
St. Louis County registered 31 new cases on Sunday. According to county data, 27 of those new cases were in Duluth and 4 in Hermantown.
The number of hospitalizations in the province has dropped by five in the last day, according to St. Louis County. The number of patients in an intensive care unit remained at 2.
The median age for people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the province has dropped from 38 to 37 years since Saturday. It was reported at 41 on Thursday.
As of Sunday, the number of active cases in St. Louis County 163.
According to the state, Itasca County saw an increase of 9 recorded cases. Cook and Carlton counties registered 2 additional cases each and Lake County added one new case.
The new cases in Northeast Minnesota were among 806 reported statewide. Another 19,959 more diagnostic tests have been completed.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported the deaths of nine more Minnesotans due to COVID-19. None of them were inhabitants of the Northland.
Across Wisconsin, Bayfield County registered four new cases Sunday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Both Douglas and Ashland counties each registered one new case.
Statewide, Wisconsin DHS reported 621 new cases, nearly half the height of Saturday’s 1,165 new cases. Another 7,418 tests were completed.
Two more Wisconsin residents have died from COVID-19.
