4 players whose Madden rating should be higher

You know it’s almost time for the annual launch of the Madden football game when EA Sports releases the player ratings in July. The hugely popular Madden NFL game will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 25, and to help promote its pre-launch of the game, EA Sports has released its official player ratings.

Sorting more than 3,000 players into various skills like speed, agility, throwing power, and acceleration takes a lot of time and effort. For the most part, Madden’s rating team gets the right ratings, but sometimes there are a few scratches, whether the player’s ratings were too low or too high.

Here’s a look at all the Colts’ rankings … There were some Colts players scorned by Madden’s ranking adjusters, so we took the liberty of sharing four players who deserved a higher ranking:

LB Darius Leonard | 85 overall

Just add more motivation to Darius Leonard’s list, as he earned an overall rating of 85 at this year’s Madden.

121 tackles, five sacks and five interceptions in 13 games, along with a Pro Bowl nod only give Leonard a rating of 85, behind a player like Kyle Van Noy of the Miami Dolphins.

Van Noy last year with the Patriots, in 15 games, had 56 tackles, six and a half sacks, and no interceptions. However, Van Noy is rated 86 and Leonard is 85.

After a season like Leonard’s, in just 13 games, it should be rated higher than 85. It should be closer to an overall rating of 90 than its official release rating of 85.
