4 COVID-19 died Sunday in North Dakota


BISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Health reported four additional COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, August 16th.

Two of the dead were from Burleigh County – a woman in her 70s without underlying health conditions and a man in her 80s with underlying health conditions. The other two dead were a man in his 40s from Sioux County with underlying health conditions, and a man in his 60s from Stark County with underlying health conditions. The total number of deaths increased to 125.

With 143 new cases reported on Sunday, total positive cases reached 8,587, and 7249 are reported as repaired. Burleigh County registered 44 of the new cases Sunday.

The health department reports that 54 are currently hospitalized.
